the experience was really beneath my expectations. the hard beds made for a tough night, and the lack of a late check-in was almost unforgivable. honestly, I woudl have expected a complimentary bottle of wine for all my troubles, but apparently, that’s too much to ask here. terribly disappointing, I almost considered a good review.

The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay.
During our time at Palacete Villa Idalina, we encountered a few challenges. The beds in our room were quite hard, which made it difficult for a comfortable night's sleep. We had also hoped for a later check-in option, but the hotel was very kind to wait for us despite our delayed arrival. Finally, since it was a warm night, we had to open the windows, which welcomed in a few pesky mosquitoes that disturbed our sleep.

This place was just a strong match for a weekend break in Caminha with great value. The staff was super accommodating, especially when one of them offered to drive us when we had trouble getting a taxi. Keep your windows closed at night to avoid any mosquitoes!

I stayed in the Deluxe Room for one night, and it was super comfy. The bed was cozy, and the space felt relaxing. The owner, Andrés, really made the experience special with his warm welcome. The room was spacious and nice. The garden views were a bonus. Honestly, the breakfast the next day was the best I've had while cycling the Camino—such a treat! Definitely a great place to unwind after a day of biking.

Palacete Villa Idalina is a beautiful and stylish villa built in 1911, filled with original details that take you back in time. We stayed in the junior suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and came with a lovely terrace. The surrounding garden was well-kept, and admiring the sunset from the villa tower was incredibly romantic. Breakfast was abundant, featuring a large selection of local sausages, cheeses, sweets, and fruits, making our mornings delightful. Our hosts, André and Susana, were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, which made our short stay truly memorable.
We only stayed for two nights.
